Counselling for Youth
(ages 16+)
Counselling supports teens and youth to successfully navigate the social, emotional, and behavioural challenges that may accompany this critical phase of life development.
More about Youth Counselling
Counselling provides youth with the relational support and tools needed to safely navigate major life transitions, manage stress, and build lifelong emotional resilience. Youth counselling offers a judgment-free space for young people to process complex feelings, develop healthy coping strategies, and work through challenges like anxiety, bullying, or family conflict.
My approach to working with youth is warm, relational, and down to earth. I'm able to build trusting relationships with young people, helping them to open up about the issues they feel are most important. Common topics we may explore include anxiety, relationships, identity, loneliness and emotional overwhelm. I draw upon a variety of modalities in my work with youth including DBT for distress tolerance, CBT for increasing cognitive flexibility, and somatic work for emotional regulation.
